Ceyl'an Ertem - Ütopyalar Güzeldir
Lyrics&Music: Ferhan Şensoy
Guitar: Cihan Murtezaoglu
Photos and Editing: Ceylan Ertem
You, beloved, lived a love more violet than a dream, then left
Such a fade away made citadel quite down in fogs
As if it will come with a steamer's fume
Sure it will come one day, utopias are beautiful
Doesn't matter whether it is mine or not
I loved a woman now smells my home rose
As if it will come with a steamer's fume
Sure it will come one day, utopias are beautiful
_____________

Volkan Hürsever manages to clearly and timely project the sound of his instrument which by nature of its rhythmic and harmonic structure is ordinarily geared more towards accompaniment than solo playing. This has made Volkan Hürsever one of the influential delegates of this universal mission of acoustic bass playing both in Turkey and the rest of the world.
His first album "Hediye" (Gift) for which he collaborated with Burçin Büke and Volkan Öktem was recorded in March 2009 and will be released by A.K. Müzik in November"
